How to Clear Acne Fast - 5 of the Best Homemade Remedies!

Want to clear acne fast? Here are five homemade acne remedies that work as well as many medications. They are cheap, effective, and side effects free.

Home remedy #1. Try a milk mask.

The ancient Egyptian Queen Cleopatra was famous for bathing her beautiful skin in milk. The reason her milk baths worked is that milk contains lactic acid, a gentle peel that lifts and separates dead skin that blocks pores. Simply pat a little warm milk on your face and lie down for 30 minute, allowing it to dry. Wash off with warm water, patting your skin dry. Your milk mask will remove some whiteheads and stop others from forming.

Home remedy #2. Try a milk of magnesia mask.

There is no more potent source of nutrient magnesium around the house than milk of magnesia. Taking a scant teaspoon (about 3 ml) of milk of magnesia every day is not enough to cause any change in regularity, but more than enough to provide nutrient magnesium for your skin. You can also paint your face with milk of magnesia, lying down to let it dry for 30 minutes, and then washing off with warm water and patting your skin dry. The milk of magnesia mask will lift excess oils off your skin and help keep pores open.

Home remedy #3. Use honey as an antiseptic.

Honey is antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic. Cosmetic surgeons are experimenting with honey as a way of keeping sutures bacteria-free after face lifts. Try dabbing a little honey on reddened pimples and leaving it on the skin overnight. You should see a reduction in redness and size of the pimple.

Home remedy #4. Humidify.

Anything you can do that increases the humidity in the air also reduces drying and tightening of acne-prone skin. Sometimes just turning down the heat in winter is enough to restore humidity to the air, or you can use a vaporizer even if you don't have a cold. Especially if you live in a very dry climate, humidifying can help prevent acne outbreaks.

Home remedy #5. Wash with soap and water.

Would you believe that soap and water actually are enough for some cases of acne? Just be sure that you don't use soaps that contain fragrances, like Irish Spring, or soap with abrasive ingredients, like Lava. Ivory is better for dryer skin and oily skin responds better to Dove.

Simple Homemade Hangover Remedies

"I will never drink again!" Who hasn't said that after haven been drinking the night before, and woke up the next morning with a thumping headache and a stomach rolling around like a roller coaster. You may have enjoyed the drinking, but the hangover the next morning is not fun. Here are some natural Homemade Hangover Remedies to help you cure the hangover.

What to do after the fact

1. A perfect homemade hangover remedy is to drink two large glasses of milk (avoid drinking water at this stage as it may cause you to become drunk again) as soon as you get up to get rid of any dehydration.

2. As soon you have overcome the queasiness, make a nice, hot bowl of chicken soup. This soup will help replace salts and potassium, the body loses salt and potassium when you have been drinking.

3. Get Clean, seriously- take a shower, brush your teeth, etc. being and FEELING clean will do wonders

4. Get active. Though you'll want to stay under the covers, take a quick walk around your street. A walk by the sea is thought to be especially helpful, possibly because of the fresh air, or the calming ocean sound or probably cause it'll blow away all the cobwebs. You could even take your dog who has had hardly any sleep all night, because you came back around 3am, talking at the top of your voice.

5. Fruit is good. It helps restore nutrition, especially bananas, which contain potassium.

6. If you have some fruit, which you know you should have, you can make a homemade hangover remedy of a fruit juice drink. It will contains simple sugar fructose, which speeds up the metabolism of alcohol.

What to do before-(prevention is better than cure)

* One trick to try - remember to drink a glass of water for every 1 or 2 drinks.

* Do not take ibuprofen or tylenol before going to bed. These drugs are activated and metabolized by the liver which, while busy processing the alcohol in your blood, can be damaged by the drugs.

* Drinking lots of liquid will help prevent dehydration but Grape juice is not recommended, however. It's rough coming back up.)

* Hangovers are due to the loss of vitamins/nutrients in the body. To reduce this, try to take some multi-vitamins before you go to bed and once again when you wake up. And drink water...lots of water.

* If you find that you can not keep anything down, wait about an hour after you vomit to give your stomach time to settle. Then nibble on saltine crackers and sip Vernors or any other ginger ale. Works every time!

* Try eating a cracker or an english muffin with honey before you retire for the night. The high fructose level in the honey will break down the alcohol in your blood, allowing it to be processed more quickly.

* Not really sure if this is a homemade hangover remedy but it's definitely Irish and that is to eat a breakfast sandwich! They work wonders, if it contains eggs. Eggs contain enzymes that combat the toxic by-products of alcohol being metabolized by the liver.

Oh and one that definitely doesn't come under the term Homemade Hangover Remedies to have a bit of the "hair of the dog"....because the dog will bite again....and again.....and again......

Best of Luck

Richard

7 Homemade Acne Remedies That the Drugstores Never Wanted You to Find Out About

Acne treatment is expensive. Prescription medications, doctor visits, lab workups, and moisturizers, clarifiers, ointments, masques, mud, and serums can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars each month. Not every acne treatment that works, however, has to cost a lot of money. Here are seven homemade acne remedies that the drugstores would just as soon you didn't know.

Home remedy #1. Use your humidifier or vaporizer even if you don't have a cold.

If you have a home humidifier or vaporizer to moisten the air when you or some member of your family has a cold or sinus infection, consider using it for acne, too. The extra humidity in the air will keep your skin from drying out and tightening to trap oil inside pores.

Home remedy #2. Milk of magnesia is cheap, it's safe, and it can be a miracle worker against acne.

Milk of magnesia, as its name suggests, is a terrific source of magnesium, the most neglected mineral in most diets and supplementation routines. A scant teaspoon (about 3 ml) of milk of magnesia a day is not so much that you will have to make additional trips to the bathroom, but it is a great source of magnesium for your skin.

You can also use milk of magnesia directly on your skin. If you spread it very smoothly, it is a good concealer and it can help exfoliate dead skin, opening pores, and smooth out acne scars.

Home remedy #3. Try a milk mask.

Drinking milk seems to aggravate acne in most people, but spreading milk over the skin and allowing it dry may actually clear up acne, especially if you use a probiotic milk (or yogurt). The Lactobacillus bacteria in probiotic dairy products crowd out Propionibacterium acnes, the acne bacteria, and help keep pores open-provided, of course, you wash off the mask after it has dried for about 20 minutes. Ayurvedic medicine typically uses milk or yogurt with nutmeg.

Home remedy #4. Try a honey mask.

Raw honey is a potent infection-fighter, so potent that there have been clinical trials using honey as an antiseptic before face lifts and other cosmetic surgeries. Dabbing a little honey on the face and then lying down to rest someplace for 20 to 30 minutes so it can set into a mask lightens redness around pimples and stops whiteheads and blackheads from becoming inflamed. You can even make milk and honey or yogurt and honey masks. Just remember to wash off any mask with warm water 20 to 30 minutes after application.

Home remedy #5. Soap and water.

As hard as it may be to believe, simple soap and water can be the best cleanser for certain cases of acne. It's certainly the cheapest. Just don't use any kind of soap that has an abrasive ingredient, like Lava, and avoid scented soaps, like Irish spring. Oilier skin responds well to Dove and dryer skin responds well to Ivory.

Home remedy #6. Instead of benzoyl peroxide, try soaps and creams made with tea tree oil.

Benzoyl peroxide and tea tree oil are about equally effective for controlling the infections that cause common acne. Tea tree oil, however, does not dry or irritate the skin, and it also controls staph infections, which benzoyl peroxide does not.

Home remedy #7. If you buy sunscreen or cosmetics, make sure they have this "magic word" on the label.

And that word is "noncomedogenic." This means the product does not induce the formation of comedos, the tiny whiteheads that are the first step on the path to blackheads, pimples, nodules, and cysts. Make sure any product you use to make sure skin more beautiful does not cause the acne you are trying to treat!

Homemade Remedies - There Are Even Some For Treating Hair Loss

There are many ancient remedies around for different types of things. You may have a common cold and find that using honey with lemon serves to loosen up the mucus that's caught in your throat. If you're losing hair then you'll find that their are remedies for treating hair loss that can take you from zero to a nice head of hair.

Now don't think that there's a cure for baldness. That just doesn't exist. However there are ways to curb the effects of hair loss and using a home remedy is a great way to do it.

Mustard seeds don't often get thought of as a way to treat your hair loss problem. What I've found to be the case is that they are like a hidden gem that many people just overlook. Especially those who are dealing with thin hair.

What you can do with mustard seeds so that they act as a remedy for hair loss, is boil a couple of tablespoonsful in a cup of boiling water. After about 10 minutes has passed, allow the mixture to cool and drink it. Seems to work internally to combat baldness.

Another of the many remedies for treating hair loss that exist is olive oil. Yes it's a great oil that can get a really tasty dish started, but it can also make your hair grow by preparing the scalp for the process.

By adding a teaspoonful of it to certain thinning hair areas and massaging it in, it'll lift years and years of dirt and oil that may have been preventing your hair from growing. You can do this procedure every other day so that you're able to maintain the level of hair oils on your scalp. How about even more tips to naturally regrow hair?

Here's a really great free free report you can download that shows you how to take natural remedies and use them to effectively start treating hair loss with ease here: [http://www.hair-loss-secret.com/onedollaroptin.html]
