Chinese Acupuncture

As it gets more recognised as a Chinese medical treatment, more questions are being asked about what exactly is Chinese Acupuncture and how does it work.

Chinese acupuncture originated in China and it has been used since 2000 BC. Acupuncture requires placing needles slightly below the skins surface. This results in a balanced 'Qi'.

A research done shows that it can actually increases the body's immune response and can alleviate pain. It manages to do this by balancing the entire body's energy flow. Its called balancing the 'Qi' flow. The latest modern treatment that is gaining wide popularity is facial acupuncture. By stimulating the energy flow, toxins are also removed simultaneously resulting in the enhancement of biochemical flows.

There are 12 main meridians plus 2 extra meridians located on the body's surface which acts petty much like pathways. Needles are usually placed along these pathways or points which will result in more energized body, pain relief, body balance and restore overall health.

TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) style of acupuncture use strong needle style. It takes about 20 minutes per treatment.

The Japanese method of acupuncture is quite the same as Chinese acupuncture. The only difference is that they use smaller needles. As a result of these smaller needles or pins, the Japanese acupuncture is painless.

It is said that Chinese acupuncture has the ability to control several parts of the body's functions for example the pancreas and the lungs. If the functions of the lungs is controlled, then asthma attacks can be significantly reduced by using certain breathing technique. The pancreas meanwhile can be made to regulate such that it produces insulin hence resulting in blood sugar control in the body if the functions of the pancreas is controlled. In addition, it can also energize the body by transporting energy to the lungs from the blood.

Using Chinese Acupuncture is a much less costly treatment to treat physical pain.

As with all other treatments, be sure to check that the acupuncturist is a qualified and experienced practitioner who have been practicing traditional medicine and Chinese acupuncture for more than 3 years.
